Sun Construction is currently seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Carpenter Apprentice / Laborer, offering a gateway to an exciting construction career. Working directly under the expert guidance of a seasoned Carpenter, you'll play a vital role in constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures using wood, plywood, metal studs, and drywall, etc. This apprenticeship blends hands-on fieldwork with structured class time, providing a unique opportunity to apply practical skills in real-world construction scenarios while deepening your theoretical knowledge. This is typically a four-year program and commitment where after all the requirements are met and successfully completed, you will earn the title as Journeyman Carpenter. Initially the work will start out as labor tasks and gradually move to apprentice related work. Since the classes for this program start every 4 years, we will need the current program to complete before the new classes begin. This will give us the opportunity to ensure our next group of apprentices are displaying the required aptitude, commitment and good character for carpentry apprenticeship. As an apprentice, you'll master traditional carpenter's hand tools and advanced power tools, all while adhering to local building codes. Ready to lay the foundation of your construction career?
