Job Description The Driver safely operates a residential collection truck equipped with automatic side‑load (ASL) equipment to collect waste and/or recyclables from wheeled carts on assigned routes. The driver provides timely, courteous service while following all safety, DOT, and company policies. Key Responsibilities - Operate a residential refuse truck equipped with automatic side‑loading arm to collect carts along assigned routes. - Use in‑cab joystick or control panel to position, grab, lift, and dump carts into the hopper while maintaining safe, "eyes‑forward" operation. - Follow daily route sheets, maps, and onboard routing systems to complete all stops within scheduled timeframes. - Maintain constant awareness of surroundings, including pedestrians, traffic, parked vehicles, low branches, and other obstacles. - Handle occasional extra or bulky items in accordance with company guidelines and local regulations. - Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip ins
