Introduction The State of Connecticut , Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS), is recruiting a full-time, second (2nd) shift, Custodian positions at Ella T. Grasso Southeastern Technical High School located in Groton, CT. Position Highlights - LOCATION: Ella T. Grasso Southeastern Technical High School in Groton, CT - SHIFT: Full-time | 2nd Shift | 37.5 Hours per week - SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday | 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm - NOTE: While CTECS follows a ten-month academic calendar, this position is year-round! In your role as a Custodian, you will have the opportunity to: - Perform custodial tasks and maintenance of areas such as classrooms, offices, auditoriums, wards, kitchens, dining rooms and lavatories including outdoor areas (i.e. trash around buildings); - Dust, mop, sweep, scrub, strip, wax and polish floors, shampoo carpets using appropriate equipment such as floor polishers and buffers; - Wash, dust and polish glass including windows, woodwork, walls, furniture and metal equipment; - Collect and dispose of all trash and recycling in the appropriate containers; - Report needs for repairs; - Perform minor maintenance; - Inspect building for damage and report conditions to supervisor; - Perform related duties as required. - More details can be found within the ' Example of Duties ' and in the class specification.
