Essential Duties And Responsibilities - Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bulldozers for the installation and maintenance of utility lines. - Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition and report any issues to the supervisor. - Follow safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all team members. - Collaborate with project managers and other operators to plan and execute utility projects efficiently. - Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and any incidents that occur during operations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Proficiency in operating heavy machinery for tasks such as trenching and material handling. - Attention to detail for pre-operation inspections and equipment functionality. - Strong communication skills for team collaboration and understanding project requirements. - Problem-solving abilities to address unexpected challenges on the job site. - Knowledge of utility regulations (preferred). - Knowledge of local utility regulations and safety standards.
