At Casella Construction, we are proud of our team of drivers in our transportation group for completing millions of safe driving miles over the past year and maintaining an excellent DOT rating. We are looking for a safety-minded, positive self-starter Class A Local Commercial Driver to add to our team of drivers out of Fort Edward, NY. In this position you will be hauling walking floor, haul end dump, and tipper trailers. This is a full-time position with competitive pay. Responsibilities - Operate a large commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly. - Keep a clean working environment - Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, or other specified vehicles, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. - Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is properly secured to prevent damage during transit. - Maintain accurate records of trips, including driver logs, mileage, and delivery receipts. - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, including hours-of-service requirements. - Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues or delays. - Follow company policies and procedures related to driver safety, performance, and conduct. - Training requirements, both in person and online, as needed or required. Qualifications - Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements Class A - Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations. - Knowledge of and adherence to all federal and state transportation regulations. - Ability to operate and maintain commercial vehicles safely and effectively. - Strong attention to detail and organ
