SWBC is seeking talented students to join our College Intern Program in San Antonio, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for college students who are motivated and eager to learn within their educational field of study.
Interns will gain practical hands-on experience and training that will provide an opportunity for growth, learning and development within the financial services industry. Full-time and part-time paid internship opportunities will be available in numerous departments, which may include: Information Technology, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Mortgage, Insurance, Legal, PEO, Lender Placed Operations, Financial Institutions, Investment Services and Training. Interns will be placed within a specific division based on interest, experience, academic coursework, SWBC’s business need, and flexibility with college/university schedule.

The Software Development Intern will support the engineering team by contributing to the design, development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based AI enabled application features and integrating AI capabilities to improve functionality, usability, and user experience under the guidance of experienced engineers, the intern will gain exposure to enterprise-level software development practices, modern frameworks, and scalable cloud-native architectures.
Essential Duties Include The Following
- Assist in developing and maintaining applications using C#/.NET, Angular, or other modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Support the creation and enhancement of front-end components, APIs, and backend services.
- Contribute to building and deploying cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and ECS/Fargate.
- Collaborate with senior developers on feature implementation, debugging, technical research, and performance optimization.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Assist in integrating AI and machine learning capabilities
